BRATISLAVA - umelecký vedúci Peter Zajíček

Súbor pre starú hudbu Musica aeterna vznikol roku 1973 z iniciatívy prof. Jána Albrechta, ktorý ako prvý systematicky oboznamoval budúcich profesionálnych hudobníkov s hudbou obdobia gotiky, renesancie a baroka. Štúdium skladieb uvedených epoch nakoniec vyústilo do formovania špecializovaného telesa pre starú hudbu, ktoré sa v roku 1989 definitívne preorientovalo na hru na originálnych nástrojoch zo 17. a 18. storočia, resp. na ich kópiách. Európska hudba a hudba stredoeurópskej, resp. slovenskej proveniencie 17. a 18. storočia je ťažiskom repertoáru súboru, ktorý je od roku 1986 organizačne včlenený do Slovenskej filharmónie. Umeleckým vedúcim je Peter Zajíček.

Popri koncertoch v Bratislave a na Slovensku účinkuje Musica aeterna pravidelne aj v zahraničí, pričom zvlášť treba zdôrazniť dlhoročnú spoluprácu s Centrom barokovej hudby vo Versailles, Ďalej vystúpenia na významných hudobných festivaloch ako napr. Festival van Vlaanderen, Holland Festival of Early Music Utrecht, Festival Wiener Klassik, Carinthischer Sommer Villach, Régi zenei napok Sopron, České mezinárodní slavnosti staré hudby Praha, Bach Tage Berlín, Barockfest Münster, Swedish Baroque Festival, Bratislavské hudobné slávnosti a i.

So súborom pravidelne spolupracujú významní špecialisti pre starú hudbu: Christophe Coin, Paul Colléaux, Pascal Dubreuil, Richard Fuller, Martin Gester, Paul Goodwin, Edward Higginbottom, John Holloway, Jan Kleinbussink, Catherine Mackintosh, Charles Medlam, Siegfried Pank, Andrew Parrott, Christophe Rousset, Olivier Schneebeli, Simon Standage, Melvyn Tan, John Toll.

Z doteraz viac ako 15 CD nahrávok viaceré získali mimoriadne ocenenia, napr. Diapason d´Or v roku 1994 a 1995 za komplet Concerti grossi Georga Muffata.
Medzinárodná kritika čoraz vyššie oceňuje umelecké výsledky súboru, neraz ho zaraďujúc medzi najlepšie telesá svojho druhu v Európe.

Das Ensemble Musica aeterna Bratislava wurde im Jahre 1973 auf Anregung von Prof. Jan Albrecht gegründet, der die jungen Musiker als Erster in der Slowakei systematisch mit der Musik der Gotik, Renaissance und des Barock bekannt machte. Das Studium von Werken der genannten Epochen führte zu der Etablierung eines auf die Alte Musik spezialisierten Ensembles, das seit 1989 auf Originalinstrumenten aus dem 17. und 18. Jahrhundert, bzw. deren Kopien, spielt. Das Repertoire von Musica aeterna Bratislava besteht aus Musik des 17. und 18. Jahrhunderts, mit einem besonderen Schwerpunkt auf Werken mitteleuropäischer, bzw. slowakischer Herkunft. Künstlerischer Leiter und Konzertmeister von Musica aeterna Bratislava ist Peter Zajiček.

Musica aeterna Bratislava ist regelmäßig Gast führender internationaler Konzertveranstalter und Festivals, z.B. des Centre de Musique Baroque Versailles, Festival van Vlaanderen, Holland Festival of Early Music Utrecht, Festival Wiener Klassik, Carinthischer Sommer Villach, Tage Alter Musik Sopron, Internationale Festspiele Alter Musik Prag, International Music Festival Brno, Bach Tage Berlin, Barockfest Münster, Swedish Baroque Festival, Musikfestpiele Bratislava.

Bedeutende Interpreten aus der Szene der Alten Musik arbeiten mit Musica aeterna Bratislava regelmäßig zusammen: Christophe Coin, Paul Colléaux, Pascal Dubreuil, Richard Fuller, Martin Gester, Paul Goodwin, Edward Higginbottom, John Holloway, Jan Kleinbussink, Catherine Mackintosh, Charles Medlam, Enrico Gatti, Siegfried Pank, Andrew Parrott, Christophe Rousset, Olivier Schneebeli, Simon Standage, Melvyn Tan, John Toll.

Von den bisher mehr als 15 CD-Aufnahmen errangen mehrere wichtige internationale Preise, z.B. in den Jahren 1994 und 1995 den Diapason d'Or für die Einspielung der 12 Concerti grossi von Georg Muffat.

Die internationale Kritik würdigt in steigendem Maße die hervorragenden künstlerischen Leistungen von Musica aeterna Bratislava und reiht das Ensemble zu den führenden in Europa.
 

MUSICA AETERNA BRATISLAVA

The Musica aeterna Bratislava ensemble was formed in 1973 on the initiative of Prof. Jan Albrecht. Since 1989 it has espoused the use period instruments (or their copies) from the 17th and 18th centuries. European music - and particularly that of central European or Slovak provenance - forms the core repertoire of this ensemble which, since 1986, has come under the administrative umbrella of the Slovak Philharmonic. Its artistic director and leader is Peter Zajíček.

In addition to concerts in Bratislava and throughout Slovakia, Musica aeterna Bratislava performs regularly abroad, enjoying an association of many years' standing with the Centre for Baroque Music at Versailles and appearing at major international festivals such as the Festival van Vlaanderen, the Holland Festival of Early Music in Utrecht, Festival Wiener Klassik, Carinthischer Sommer in Villach, Regi Zenei Napok in Sopron, the International Festival of Early Music in Prague, Bach Tage in Berlin, Barockfest in Münster, Swedish Baroque Festival and the Bratislava Music Festival, among others.

To date Musica aeterna Bratislava has recorded more than 15 CD titles, many of which have received prestigious prizes, including the Diapason d'Or in 1994 and 1995 for the complete Concerti grossi of Georg Muffat.

Critical acclaim for Musica aeterna Bratislava is ever reaching new heights and the ensemble is not infrequently rated among the best of its kind in Europe.

Peter Zajíček
studied violin at the School of Musical Arts in Bratislava and studied chamber music privately with Jan Albrecht. He has been concertmaster of Musica aeterna since 1986 and artisic director since 1990. Besides maintaining a busy performing and recording schedule with Musica aeterna, he is active in musicological research and has also appeared as a chamber music partner of S. Standage, P.Goodwin, R.Fuller and other. Since 1996 he is lecturer at the chamber music de partmen of the Academy of Music and Performing Arts.
